Topic: Downtown
Skill: Reading
To be
honest, I really liked this lesson, I guess everything went well. Students were
willing to do everything; they seemed to have a good time during class. In this
lesson I taught “Preposition of places” using a street map and reading material
as support; I did many activities, in the presentation I elicit students to
answer what they see in the map to check the use of short answers in this case.
Yes, it is and No, it isn´t.
In the
during time, the activity in which students had to read up 4 paragraphs and
circle the depicting place on their worksheet And then go to the board and
circle the place on the street map. While they were reading some students had a
hard time when finding the place that was descriptive, but at the end they did
good. I think a +1 is an excellent way to help students to prove what they can
do and push them to go beyond of what they think they can go.
As all the
activities were well, the post time was great; using the same street map on the
board they practiced asking questions using the preposition and vocabulary
studied.
